Briefly and specifically: what shape of frame balances the proportions of the face and how to choose the size.

face

HEART

Wider forehead and softer chin. Frames with a soft line and slight lift work best - they balance the proportions.

face

QUADRAT

Clear jawline and strong features. Choose frames with rounded edges or ovals - they soften angularity.

face

OWAL

Most proportionate shape. Fits most shapes - focus on size and whether the frame enhances your style.

face

LANDSCAPE

Face longer rather than wider, usually slender. Look for frames that add optical width - a higher front or wider form.

face

CIRCULAR

Softer contours and fuller cheeks. Contrast is built by frames that are more angular or with clear lines - lengthening and structuring the features.

How to read markings on luminaires

On the inside of the earpiece you will often find a notation along the lines of: 49□20-145.
These are, in turn, the width of the glass (49 mm), the width of the bridge (20 mm) and the length of the temple (145 mm).
If your current glasses lie well - these figures are the best reference point.

pro tip

Take a photo of the markings on the earmuff and paste it in the message - we will size faster.

3 signals that the size is wrong:

Too narrow:

The frame puts pressure on the temples, leaves marks and “pushes” the face.

Too wide:

the frame slides down, the glasses “dance”, the eyes are too close to the edge of the lens (glass).

Bridge:

if they keep slipping off the nose - usually the bridge is too wide or the nostrils need adjusting.

Frame shapes

Shape

Aviator

A classic with strong character. Balances proportions well and adds a ‘frame’ to the face - especially when you want a more defined effect.

Shape

Geometric

Modern statement. They work best when you want to add structure and ‘sharpness’ to your features - without going overboard in size.

Shape

Cat's eye

The gentle lifting of the frame line optically ‘lifts’ the features. A great choice if you want elegance and a slimming effect.

Shape

Square

Clear form and strong lines. Build contrast to soft features and add definition - important to choose the right width.

Shape

Navigator

A more ‘architectural’ alternative to the aviator. It gives the effect of a stable, masculine form and looks great in medium and larger sizes.

Shape

Round

Soft, vintage line. Softens the sharpness of your features well and suits when you want a lighter, more artistic look.

Shape

Oval

The most versatile in perception. They work well when you want classics that don't dominate - the key is front-to-face proportion.

Shape

Rectangular

Lengthen and tidy your features. A good choice when you want to optically slenderise your face and give it a more ‘clean’ character.

Shape

Rounded up

A compromise between softness and structure (rounded-rectangle). They give an elegant effect without being sharply angular.

Material and comfort

You can feel the difference immediately - in weight, fit and durability.

Material

ACETAT

A distinctive, „jewellery” material with depth of colour. It gives a stronger presence on the face and is very pleasant to wear - it rests directly on the nose (no nose pads), so the fit is stable and comfortable.

-> Comfort „on the skin” and stable seating (no nosepieces)

-> Ideal if you like a more characterful setting

-> For larger models, check weight and width

material

TYTAN

Maximum lightness and comfort for all day wear. A great choice if you value subtlety and durability - plus titanium is an anti-allergenic material, often better tolerated by sensitive skin.

-> Very lightweight - ideal for long periods of wear

-> Anti-allergenic and comfortable for sensitive skin

-> Easy to fit thanks to the nose pads (adjustable)

material

METAL

Slim profile and more formal character. Balances features well and gives an elegant effect - especially in classic shapes.

-> Thinner framing line (less „mass” on the face)

-> Noses matter: they make comfort

-> The perfect compromise between classic and modern

material

COMBO

It combines the best of both worlds: the lightness of metal/titanium and the character of acetate. Such frames tend to be more expressive, as acetate often appears on the brow/front line, giving a stronger frame to the face.

-> Clearer look (acetate often on top line/brews)

-> Comfort: metal/titanium + more stable front

-> Great compromise between „statement” and lightness
